Sharkmen Fishing Charters Safety Briefing & Waiver

We’re excited to have you join us. To ensure your safety and enjoyment, please take a moment to review the following safety briefing and waiver. By boarding the vessel, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined below. A live safety briefing will be given by the Captain of the vessel before departure.

Safety Briefing

  1. Life Jackets
Life jackets are provided for all passengers and must be worn during certain conditions, such as rough waters or in the event of an emergency. Your Captain will indicate the location of the life jackets during the on-board Safety Briefing, prior to departure.

  2. Boat Safety Equipment
Our boats are equipped with safety gear including life jackets, life rafts, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, flares, and emergency signalling devices. Familiarise yourself with the location of all safety equipment upon boarding.

  3. Safety Orientation
Prior to departure, the crew will conduct a brief safety orientation, including how to properly use safety equipment, emergency procedures, and vessel rules. Please pay attention to this briefing and ask any questions if something is unclear.

  4. Weather and Sea Conditions
Our crew monitors the weather conditions closely. In the event of unsafe weather, the charter may be delayed, rescheduled, or cancelled. For your safety, the captain reserves the right to make decisions based on weather and sea conditions.

  5. Slips, Trips, and Falls
Please be mindful of wet surfaces and maintain your balance while aboard. Sit down if necessary and proceed with caution when moving around the boat. By embarking on the vessel you acknowledge that a fishing charter on a boat at sea is a suitable experience for you.

  6. Fishing Etiquette
While on board, all passengers are expected to follow crew instructions regarding fishing techniques, handling of fish, and proper conduct. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone on board.

  7. Alcohol and Drugs
Consumption of alcohol is allowed in moderation; however, intoxicated passengers may be asked to disembark for safety reasons. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
