Terms & Conditions

By Booking with Sharkmen Fishing Charters you (and your booking party) are agreeing to the below set of Terms and Conditions. Please ensure you read and understand these. If you have any queries or concerns, please call us on 0418 107 071 prior to booking

We understand that we are all in an ever-changing environment & may be able to make amendments to our cancelation policy for your booking which will be reflected on your individualised invoice prior to your booking.

Cancelation Policy:

Customer change of mind: Due to the nature of our business, at least 96 hours (4 days) notice is required if you are no longer able to attend your charter for an individual spot and 1 WEEK for a boat booking.

If you do not provide sufficient notice, payments received will be void UNLESS we are able to fill your spot. Cancellations due to change of mind/no longer able to attend made with more than the required notice will be issued credit vouchers for the full value of your booking or deposit.

Please note that all Book the Boat bookings are to be paid in full 24 hours prior to departure (unless specifically organised prior). Your nominated credit card will be charged for the balance unless an alternative arrangement has been discussed and agreed upon beforehand.

Please note that "no shows" will be charged the full rate of the booking to their nominated credit card, this includes last minute cancellations. If we do not have your credit card details on file, an invoice will be issued to the booking customer for payment

Circumstances out of our control:

If your charter is canceled due to unsafe weather conditions you will be offered either an opportunity to reschedule your booking or be issued a credit voucher for the full value of your booking or deposit paid to use on any of our charters.

Sharkmen Charters initiated cancellation: If we cancel your charter as we are unable to commit to your booking (ie. the charter does not fill up its minimum required numbers, or on the rare occasion mechanical issues present), if rescheduling is not an option, we will issue you a credit voucher for the full value of your booking or deposit or refund you in full to your original payment method.

Please note that the nature of our business relies heavily on the weather, while we strive to get our customers out, we must make decisions first and foremost with safety at the forefront of every decision we make.

- All charters are subject to suitable weather conditions (the decision is made at the discretion of the skipper) and we reserve the right to cancel any trip due to bad weather (even at short notice).

- Sharkmen Charters will not be held liable for any indirect costs incurred by booking a fishing charter with us.

 - In the event the trip is cancelled at any time by Sharkmen Charters, we will not be held liable for any travel costs, meals, accommodation or any other costs the customer may have incurred. We do strictly recommend that when making any accommodation bookings to ensure that you review the accommodation cancelation policy and ensure they offer flexibility around rescheduling

Safety Brief:

A safety brief is given on board before departure. if you do not understand any aspect of the Safety Brief or do not feel comfortable to proceed with the charter you must inform your Skipper. Safety is of the utmost importance and an understanding of safety procedures and behaviours is paramount.

The crew at Sharkmen want to provide a safe and enjoyable fishing experience for our customers. However due to the nature of a fishing charter please be mindful that there is a remote risk of injury or even the more extreme. Please understand and appreciate the dangers involved and once aboard the vessel the customer must assume and accept all these risks.

- All customers must declare any pre-existing medical conditions or any medication prior to departure (as some people may require special attention).

- We have the right to ask any customer to wear a life jacket at any time.

Recreational Fishing Licence (RFL):

- Each individual is required to hold an RFL, even when fishing onboard a fishing charter. - It is the responsibility of the customer to purchase their own RFL. - If the Department of Primary Industries boards our vessel and you are without a license then you are responsible for any implications that may result.

Customer Behaviour:

- It is required that all customers behave in a safe and respectful manner to all staff, other customers and our property. - If we find that there has been loss or damage to our equipment or vessel due to negligence or unruly behaviour then the customer will be liable for replacement or repair of the item (funds will be taken from the credit card that is held for security). - The Skipper reserves the right to cancel a trip and payment forfeited if unruly or unsafe behaviour is displayed.

Global Positioning System:

All GPS/phone apps are strictly banned from the boat at all times and WILL result in instant termination of the charter. All monies paid towards the charter will be forfeited.
